Justus or Just them

On April 14, 1997 Malik Jones was murdered by East Haven police, who chased him into New Haven and brutally stole away his young life. For the last 27 years, Malik's mother, activist and lawyer Emma Jones, has been fighting for justice for him and all victims of police brutality in our state. As a leader in the movement for police accountability, Emma Jones has inspired countless other grassroots organizers to fight and win New Haven a civilian review board, and together we continue to push for more justice. Come together with our New Haven community this Sunday, April 14th, 6pm on the corner of Grand Ave & Haven St., to remember and honor Malik's life and re-commit ourselves to the fight against police violence in New Haven and beyond
