The 10th anniversary of the Sandy Hook School shooting will be a difficult time, but it is an opportunity to honor the 1,700 people in our state who have lost their lives to gun violence since that tragic day, including the 26 children and educators who were murdered on 12.14.12.
We will remind ourselves how much work remains to be done to end all forms of gun violence in Connecticut, but also reflect on our efforts, perseverance and the progress we've made together over these past 10 years, efforts which are saving lives.
And we'll recommit ourselves to the work we must do to keep all residents of Connecticut safe from gun violence.
Please join us for an evening of reflection, remembrance and recommitment.
