Early Voting Ballot Referendum
Election Day is coming up (Nov. 8th!), and I wanted to send out some information about the referendum on early voting that will be on your ballot. On Election Day, you will be asked to vote “yes” or “no” on the question: “Shall the Constitution of the State be amended to permit the General Assembly to provide for early voting?” A majority “yes” vote will allow the legislature to legalize early voting in Connecticut, which is one of four states without early voting options for all eligible voters. Providing early voting makes it easier for voters to participate in our democracy, generates shorter lines on Election Day, and lessens the burden on election workers.
