MAY ANNOUNCEMENTS

2022 V.E.T.T.S. Mentoring Program Summit!

The 2022 V.E.T.T.S. Summit took place on April 6th at SCSU, and it's theme was "I am the Chief Executive Officer of my future". Our goal was to support the 37 youth in attendance with insight in overcoming their past, making better decisions in the present, and discovering options for their future.

This event started bright and early from 9am to 2pm and was a day filled with education, resources, incentives, food and fun! The event was held at SCSU in the Adante Student Center. The students were provided with breakfast and lunch. We would like to thank New Haven Public School for providing transportation to the summit for students. We would also like to thank our speakers for the day Ramon Peralta owner of Peralta Design, our military guest, and program staff for dedicating their time and providing insight and leadership.

Mr. Stanley, the V.E.T.T.S. Coordinator, invited military branches to share with students future opportunities in the military. While, UCA Executive Director Ms. Ellis-West spoke on the importance of leadership and women's leadership in specific.
