Rumors swirling in and around the Capitol earlier today were that Karen Dubois-Walton, the head of New Haven’s Housing Authority, is likely in. Dubois-Walton, who challenged incumbent Democratic Mayor Justin Elicker last year, said in a text message earlier to this reporter to “expect a big announcement coming soon.” Her name had been circulating among Democratic circles following Treasurer Shawn Wooden’s surprise announcement to not seek reelection.
