The Power of Black Media

 

 Virtually on Saturday, March 12, 2022, 1:30 – 2:30pm ET for a panel discussion on The Power of Black Media, as part of the Black Alumni Collective's 2022 National Conference hosted by Duke University.

 Panel discussion will highlight the authentic stories and voices of Black people that have new outlets to influence the culture as never before.  We’ll celebrate the moment that we’re in with an explosion of authentic black content, while addressing the remaining challenges to fairly represent diverse Black voices in the greater media landscape, and the disparities that remain in economic equity of black-owned media outlets, particularly when it comes to where advertising dollars are spent.
