Location: Online - 1:00 pm - PDT

Online - 1:00 pm - PDT

Event Description

Join us for a very special Rosicrucian Symposium exploring one of the most powerful and profound aspects of the Rosicrucian Tradition – the Initiatory Path, leading us to a greater understanding and experience of the Mysteries and our Self.

We are delighted to have with us on this journey a very special guest, author and Professor of Religious Studies Emeritus, Frater Lee Irwin, PhD, a scholar of world religions, spirituality, and comparative phenomenology of religious experience, such as visions and dreams.

Here is the schedule (all times are in PDT):

1:00 pm to 1:15 pm
Opening Invocation with Grand Master Julie Scott

1:15 to 2:00 pm
Initiatic Dreams: Sacred Guidance and Discovery with Lee Irwin, PhD*

In this presentation, Lee Irwin, PhD will explore various types of initiatic dreams. He will discuss altered states in dream, stages of development, and the application of such dreams to the spiritual path. The types discussed will include dreams of sacred encounter, the paranormal, guides and masters, Aeonic archetypes, transpersonal, and mystical immersion. He will also discuss dream interpretation and the integration of dreaming into waking life awareness.

2:00 pm to 2:30 pm
Self-discipline; The Initiate’s Key to Fulfillment with Ese Magege

The initiate is familiar with the injunction “Know Thyself” as the path to illumination. Self-discipline is a means to develop and maintain a relationship with the Inner Self and learn the attributes of the Inner Self. The initiate will then come to realize the Universal Intelligence and all its glories and fulfillment. With self-discipline, initiates can choose their thoughts and free themselves of fear and limitations. In this presentation, we will uncover this great tool of self-discipline.

2:30 pm to 2:45 pm
Break

2:45 to 3:15 pm
Initiation: The Esoteric and the Practical with Leo Adams
Initiation has deep roots in every esoteric tradition involving inner reflection, assessment, and teachings; but that is just the beginning. Initiating is sometimes the easiest part of the journey, where the ongoing mission requires continuous inspiration, commitment, and effort. This presentation will explore initiation and beyond.

3:15 pm to 3:45 pm
Initiation: Doorway to the Self with Ingrid Young

Springtime marks significant changes in nature as the outer world transforms from seeming death to new life. Likewise, stepping onto an initiatic path can awaken within us the desire to transform ourselves, to rise above the small self and embrace the Inner Self. In this presentation with Ingrid Young, discover the meaning of the terms neophyte, initiation, and metamorphosis. Learn why the Rosicrucian Order is designated as an initiatic Order and a Mystery School.  Discover various ways that each of us experiences initiation as well as the stages common to all such transformations. Finally, participate in a meditation designed to reveal the Master Initiator, the True Self that lies within you.

3:45 pm to 4:15 pm
Rosicrucian Initiation with Grand Master Julie Scott

The goal of Rosicrucian initiations is to bring about the transformation of self and reintegration with the original source. This is represented by the Rose Cross. The cross represents our life in this incarnation and all the possibility that holds. The unfolding rose, at our heart, reflects the great transformation taking place within, leading to our reintegration with the interconnected whole, the Great Mystery of Life. In this presentation, Grand Master Julie Scott will share how the process of initiation unfolds in the Rosicrucian Tradition and leads us in exploring our own experience of initiation.
