Ashley Edwards, Co-Founder and CEO of MindRight Health, a Newark-based tech startup created to advance health equity within marginalized, low-income communities by providing more accessible healthcare through text message-based #mentalhealth coaching. Through promoting and actively carrying out MindRight Health's mission of empowering youth of color to heal from the trauma of systemic oppression, Edwards was deemed by Forbes a 30 Under 30 Social Entrepreneur and named as one of the top "Healers" to influence the next century in 2018. In 2020, Edwards became the 1st Black female founder to raise $1 million in venture capital in NJ and 1 out of 35 to ever do so in the United States! #NJInnovation
