We’re excited to announce our Solutions of the Year Keynote Speaker Solana Rice, co-founder and co-executive director of Liberation in a Generation.

The racism and inequity we see around us has not happened by accident. Workplace inequality, extractive corporate greed, and the systemic oppression that defines our core institutions, chief among them our political structure — these frameworks were designed deliberately, to disempower and marginalize. As we commit to dismantling the oppression economy, we cannot lose sight of what we build toward: our collective liberation, and an economic paradigm that has never before existed in this country. Rice will discuss why the solutions of the year are really the solutions of our lifetimes, and why it will take the intentional, intersectional work — from all of us, working together — to win a safer, freer future.

Her 20-minute speech will be followed by Q&A moderated by Lucas Grindley, Next City Executive Director.
