Bring Our Loved Ones Home

Dear ,

Please join us and partners for a holiday rally to bring incarcerated loved ones home. Rallies will take place in Foley Square, West Capitol Park in Albany, and in Long Island. Speakers, advocates, and legislators will rally around a holiday table with empty chairs symbolizing missing and perished incarcerated loved ones and will call on Governor Hochul to grant mass clemency and for the New York State Legislature to pass Elder Parole and Fair & Timely Parole.

Please join us in person if you can and help us spread the word by sharing the flyer below.

Webinar: Changing the System and Communities: How System-Impacted People are Pursuing Systemic-Change

Please join the Petey Greene Program for a webinar on Thursday, December 2, 2021, at 3 p.m. E.S.T., convening a panel of system-impacted people who are leading organizations and movements to change carceral policies that impact them directly, and all of us indirectly. Panelists include Charlese Horton of Black and Pink-Massachusetts, Stanley Andrisse of From Prison Cells to PhD, Dominque Jones-Johnson of Daughters Beyond Incarceration, Alesha Monteiro of the Essie Justice Group, and a panelist from the Formerly Incarcerated Union of Rhode Island. They will speak on why it’s important for system-impacted people to lead movements for systemic change and how to join their efforts to increase access to education, end solitary confinement, mitigate the harm of incarceration on children and families, and remove employment and voting restrictions. Register here
