Hi Tom,
Racial disparities exist in rates of prostate cancer diagnosis and death. In 2021, one in eight U.S. men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in his lifetime, but for Black men, the likelihood increases by 76 percent. Black men are over two times as likely to die from the disease as white men. September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month and the Prostate Cancer Foundation and The West Angeles Brotherhood Organization present the fourth annual How Much Do You Know About Prostate Cancer?, a virtual event to raise awareness about prostate cancer among this high-risk population, Black men. Join us on Saturday, September 18th at 9:00 AM PT.
The 90-minute virtual webinar will discuss disparities, risk factors, early detection, the latest research and treatment options, survival, and lifestyle choices such as healthy eating.
How Much Do You Know About Prostate Cancer? is FREE and open to the public. Registration is mandatory, and registrants will receive complementary PCF guides. For more information and to register, visit www.pcf.org/westa/.
