City of New Haven Traffic Improvements

 

Traffic Improvements in Dwight and Downtown Providing safe access points and reducing danger for pedestrians in this City is so important to everyone at City Hall. I am pleased to announce that the Transportation Traffic & Parking Department has developed, designed, bid, and is in construction on pedestrian improvements at seven intersections in the Dwight and Downtown neighborhoods as part of a broader effort to improve pedestrian safety through tangible infrastructure improvements. These intersections will now have new ramps and pedestrian heads (traffic signals). These are just a sample of the many infrastructure improvements being implemented around the city to ensure pedestrian and bicycle safety.
