Earlier this week, we put together a list of New York City restaurants' reactions to this week's protests. Now, people are looking for more ways to make a difference and put money behind their words. Across America, people are compiling spreadsheets and putting together resources on how to support Black-owned businesses: many of whom were doing the work long before this most recent spotlight. Our colleagues at Time Out Los Angeles and Time Out Chicago have also published useful guides. If you're searching for Black-owned businesses—including food and drink venues—to support in New York City (and we hope you already were!), here are some resources we find useful. Black lives matter. And Black businesses are the backbone of our city. |
