Healing of the Nations Foundation

Dear THOMAS,

The new normal of the coronavirus epidemic and the current social unrest demand more than eager longing for better days.

The Healing of the Nations Foundation in collaboration with Carnegie Hall present  Juneteenth Celebration 2020: All American-Freedom Day
June 19th at 7:30 PM on
Live With Carnegie Hall

Join Rev. Dr. James A. Forbes Jr. as he speaks to the incontrovertible importance of this historic day and to our current-day challenges in conversation with Carnegie Chairman Robert Smith and Executive and Artistic Director Clive Gillinson.

The program will also include commentary from Bill Moyers and Bishop Michael Curry and musical performances by Joseph Joubert and the Ebony Ecumenical Ensemble.

Dating back to the end of the American Civil War in 1865, Juneteenth commemorates our nation’s true independence—the day when all members of the newly formed Union were finally declared free.

More than 400 years after the first Africans were brought to the English colonies, the fight for equality continues.
