Advancing Equity and Supporting Small Businesses amid COVID-19
Small businesses all across America are facing immediate financial threat due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and particularly so in historically underserved communities. Please join us for a discussion on how the pandemic has affected small businesses in communities of color, and how funders can expand access to resources and capital to promote inclusive and equitable recovery.
Featuring:
- Rose Stuckey Kirk, Verizon's Chief Corporate Social Responsibility Officer and President of the Verizon Foundation
- Maurice A. Jones, LISC’s President and CEO
- Gregory Fairchild, LISC Board Member and Isidore Horween Research Associate Professor of Business Administration at the Darden School of Business will serve as moderator
LISC and its partners are providing grants to hundreds of small businesses across the country, 90% of which are led by minority entrepreneurs. Nonetheless, funding and opportunity gaps persist. Join this discussion on ways we can work together to close these gaps, and advance an inclusive and equitable recovery.
