My good friend Kevin McCarthy has just reminded me about the controversy many moons ago about the reopening/opening of the Omni Hotel at Yale and the location of the bus stops.
Whether we call it black removal, redevelopment, gentrification, model cities, trail of tears, resettlement, reservations, public housing, east shore wanting to secede, debtors prison, the creation of Australia, indentured servitude or political and economic slavery imposition, the clash of wealth and health or more precisely the distributive organizational order of health and wealth remains a concern and topic for the various "policy factories".
Recently I have been really triggered by the "status" of the green, the historical and literal hub of the city. One refugee and one casualty of the sometimes grinding forces of the current pernicious economic system, wandering about on the green, is one person too many. We can do better
