Yale-Community Partnership Hatches Vital HIV Prevention Research from Seed
 Drs. Tami Sullivan and Jaimie Meyer are the latest CIRA affiliates to successfully turn a pilot project into a full-scale HIV prevention research project.
Sullivan, an Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Director of Family Violence Research and Programs at Yale School of Medicine and Meyer, an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Yale School of Medicine and Clinical Assistant Professor of Nursing at Yale School of Nursing, received the award from the National Institute of Mental Health for their project Identifying Modifiable Risk and Protective Processes at the Day-Level that Predict HIV Care Outcomes Among Women Exposed to Partner Violence.
CIRA Stil Accepting Letters of Intent for Pilot Projects in HIV Research: Deadline Extended to March 27, 2020
 CIRA is still accepting letters of intent for Pilot Projects in HIV/AIDS Prevention Research. For your benefit, we have extended the LOI submission deadline to Friday, March 27. Key dates include:
- March 27, 2020: Submit a Letter of Intent- May 7, 2020: Full application deadline - May-June 2020: Pilot Project Review Panel meets - June 2020: Awards announcement expected - July 1, 2020: Earliest start date (dependent on IRB and NIMH approval)

- PrEP Data in AtlasPlus
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has added new data to AtlasPlus, its interactive data visualization tool. Users will now find pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) coverage estimates from 2017 and 2018 available for download and use along with more than 15 years of CDC surveillance data on HIV, viral hepatitis, sexually transmitted diseases, and tuberculosis.

 To further strengthen mentoring activities, CIRA's Development Core offers Career Development Consultations to affiliated junior faculty and post-doctoral fellows and associates. The consults provide an invaluable opportunity to receive tailored career advice from senior faculty at Yale, focusing on everything from the development of K awards to the right approach to getting published, and all set in an informal and confidential setting.

- The review sessions connect the investigator or author to a useful network for expanding knowledge and exploring potential collaborations across disciplines
- It provides input on the relevancy of the proposal/manuscript/presentation to the funding agencies/mechanisms, journals, and audience

Research Snapshot Series
 CIRA's Research Snapshot series features one page summaries of completed, peer reviewed and published studies conducted by our affiliated scientists. The summaries describe the reason for the study, the key findings, and implications for practice and policy, presented in plain language. Each of the briefs also include a link to a published article in a peer reviewed journal that derives from the featured study.
