Dear New Haven and other CT Neighbors, Colleagues, Educators, Mentors, Engineers/Designers, Experts with Lived Experience, Parents, Students, Activists/Advocates, Healthcare Innovators, Visionaries, Movers & Shakers:

According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), there are conditions in the places where people live, learn, work, and play that affect a wide range of health risks and outcomes.  These conditions are known as social determinants of health (SDOH).  For people and communities with SDOH such as food insecurity, unstable housing, history of incarceration, disability, environmental degradation, mental health issues, poverty, unsafe streets, gun violence and substandard education, there are striking differences in quality of health and health outcomes.
When we think of solutions for improving health, if we take SDOH into consideration, communities and researchers can improve individual and community health and advance health equity.
So what can you do to “create social and physical environments that promote good health for all”?  Join us for the
