See Patti speak, joined by WCSYale Rock Star alumnae Babz Rawls Ivy, Eleni Kavros DeGraw, Hon. Jeanette Morrison, and Carmen Nieves, at Galvanize Connecticut!
Patti, along with host The United State of Women (USOW), would love for you to join WCSYale at this one-day event. Galvanize Connecticut is in partnership with the Connecticut Collective for Women and Girls and the Office of the Lieutenant Governor Susan Bysiewicz and the Governor’s Council on Women and Girls. It will take place on December 7, 2019 at Goodwin College in East Hartford.
Every two years, USOW hosts their landmark national summit and gathers women leaders at the top of their fields from advocacy to tech, politics to Hollywood in order to connect, convene, and amplify voices in the fight for gender equity. One of the ways USOW continues to do this work is through the Galvanize Program, designed to take the momentum from their national United State of Women Summit to amplify voices in communities at the state and local level.
At Galvanize Connecticut, the day will begin with an engagement fair for attendees to network with local organizations, partners, and each other before transitioning to a high-energy main-stage session. In the afternoon, attendees will participate in skill-based and in-depth training sessions led by national and local experts on topics such as leadership, entrepreneurship, advocacy and organizing, youth leadership, advanced manufacturing and business, and running for office.
Speakers include:
Valerie Jarrett, Co-Chair of the United State of Women, Chair of the Board of When We All Vote, former Senior Advisor to President Obama, and author of Finding My Voice: My Journey to the West Wing and the Path Forward
Susan Bysiewicz, Connecticut Lieutenant Governor and Chair, Governor’s Council on Women and Girls
Takeshia Everett, Executive Director, Health Equity Solutions
Patricia Russo, Executive Director, Women’s Campaign School at Yale
Miriam Azeez, Youth Entrepreneur and Author
Cass Martineau, Women’s March and Windham NAACP

By the end of the day, attendees will have gained new ideas and partners, hands-on training, and the tools, resources, and next steps needed to make change at all levels. If you are interested in attending, please purchase a ticket via the Galvanize Connecticut Eventbrite page.
Patti looks forward to seeing you there!
