The key word to divide a community into politics is the one that Emperor Julio Cesar used, which was to “divide and conquer” in order to reign and govern.

What is politics?
1. It is the science that deals with the government and the organization of societies, especially those of the states
2. It is the activity of those who govern or aspire to govern the matters that affect a society, a city, a state, or a country. The formula that Emperor Julio Cesar established was to dominate small communities. It is the masterful art that the power of the elite is in to deceive the minority communities, while they gain power and control of a city, state, or a country. A thesis was used in the city of New Haven where the community is now divided, but what people have to understand is that the power lays in the sovereign and the sovereign are the people who choose who will govern in a participatory democracy.
3. It is the art, doctrine, or opinion concerning the government of the states. It is also a science that constitutes a branch of political and social sciences that deals with the activity by virtue of which a free society, composed of free people, solves the problems that their collective and social coexistence presents them with. The political strategy that was used and I noticed in the City of New Haven in the last primary election on September 10, 2019 was that of Julio Cesar “divide and conquer.” However, winning a primary is not winning an election.

On November 5, 2019, the sovereign people of New Haven can decide how to use the power of their vote. Each vote is not the machinery of a political party that rules, but rather, the will of a people that knows how to value the work of those who govern it. That is why the campaign that is being held across the entire city has been deemed the “Campaign of a People In Support of Mayor Toni Harp.” These elections have a historic motivation in defense of the integrity of the woman – they are not solely about Toni Harp, but rather, they are also about the future of women in this city who could also govern. You, as a virtuous woman of New Haven, should raise your voice against the person that has use publicity platforms to falsely accuse the honorable Mayor Toni Harp of corruption. Such a person should present proof. As a man myself, who respects the leadership and the capacities of women to govern, this is about you as grandmothers, mothers, daughters, granddaughters, and great-granddaughters. This is why I believe in the work that Mrs. Emma Jones, Attorney Alex Taubes, and Working Families Party are doing to motivate the people of the city to stand up and defend the work of Mayor Toni Harp on November 5th.
