Your home is your home. I grew up in New Haven in a neighborhood called Church St South Housing Projects. A place where I learned to love, jump double dutch, and build friendships. The neighborhood was dynamic and radiant, inundated with families from all over the world. Unfortunately, the community began spiraling downward during the 80's for many reasons. The neighborhood no longer exists. It was torn down, completely. I and many of my friends are in mourning that our childhood home was decimated.

On Sunday, October 6, 2019 @ 5pm, I am reliving my time in the hood and many other essential moments in my one woman show, From the Hood to the Ivy League. Please join me and local artists to share in storytelling, art, jazz, blues, gospel, classical music and more.
