Federal court rules 'prison gerrymandering' suit can advance

"By considering these inmates a part of their prison or jail’s legislative district, the plaintiffs argue, the redistricting plan inflates the power of rural, white districts and takes power away from the poorer urban districts many Connecticut inmates call home. Such a policy, Billington said, 'diminishes the voting power of people in urban districts. ' ”
Yo..... this stuff they do, is sooooooo systemically intertwined to destroy, exploit and disempower our race. It’s crazy, racism runs deeper than black face, it’s at the core of almost every government system that exists, but especially those that criminalize and strip the power from people of color like the private prison system. 😡
White people, you want to know what to do to help end racism and make up for the wrongs of the past?? Take off the blinders, acknowledge the systemic racism that exists and help us tear it down and start rebuilding a more fair, equitable, and inclusive society with laws and regulations that reflect that!
