Participants engage in emotional emancipation at Valuing Black Lives Summit

Day 2 of our Summit commenced with removing one shell from a cup of water and wiping it on our necks. It is a cleansing ritual from Ghana. We ended the day placing that same shell on our lips and saying "I commit." Commit with us to Defy the lie of Black Inferiority, to Embrace the truth of Black Humanity, to honoring our ancestors, and to flourishing in 2020 and beyond.
