The state police have completed their investigation into the April 16 officer-involved shooting in Newhallville. Now New Haven State’s Attorney Patrick Griffin must decide whether to bring charges against the Hamden and Yale cops who sprayed a car with bullets while two unarmed people were inside.
Griffin confirmed Wednesday that he has received a final report from the state police about the incident, in which car passenger Stephanie Washington was inured and hospitalized.
“I will conduct a thorough review of the report in coming weeks,” Griffin said.
Then he will decide whether to request more information, or make the call on whether to bring criminal charges against Hamden Officer Devon Eaton and/or Yale Officer Terrance Pollack. The state police spokesperson confirmed that investigation and turned over the report to the state’s attorney’s office 99 days after the incident took place.
