Breakfast & Tea
Enjoy breakfast with homemade baked goods, handcrafted cereals, organic fruit and a variety of refreshing drinks. The lounge and porch is available in the afternoon for guests to enjoy with a variety of snacks are available throughout the day. We are pleased to offer afternoon tea for our guests. We are happy to make you reservations at favorite local restaurants - Cardboard Box, Sweet Life, Slice of Life, Nancys and Linda Jeans which are all just steps away on the main street and harbor. Our goal is for you to have an unforgettable visit and inspire you to book your next trip before you leave. The Narragansett is proud to enter the 139th summer season of hospitality, and as this is our first season we are proud to continue this tradition.
Guest Amenities & Services
Guest comfort and relaxation is our top priority and as this is our first season we have taken an effort to make sure each of our guests are comfortable. In every room, you will find high speed Wi-Fi, Air Conditioning, Bathrobes, Slippers and Premium bedding. We have beach towels, yoga mats and beach blankets available for guest use at the front desk. Reserve early one of our beach wagons to easily carry your gear for a full day at the local Inkwell Beach . We are proud to be the home of the Inkwell Project, a series that brings published authors into the garden to chat with guests and share their work. We are proud to support the long artistic tradition of the island and welcome visiting artists, writers and performers. Our guest library with classic and contemporary book, as well as traditional board games.

Martha's Vineyard island, and the town of Oak Bluffs has something for every one to enjoy. It is the diverse and lively community that makes this place so special . The Inkwell beach has daily beach yoga as well as a morning swimming club open for anyone to join. There are historical tours of the island, 100 miles+ of bike paths, and experienced fishing captains ready tot take you out on a deep sea fishing adventure. The King Rooms - #4, 12, 14
from 200 to 375 per night
KING BEDS. Room 4 (King or Twins): A corner room upstairs, bathed in morning sunlight with the possibility for two twin beds or together for a King Size Bed . Room 12 (King Bed): Features exterior entrance from the garden this room is downstairs overlooking the front lawn. It has a king bed and a small sitting area. There is a possibility to connect this room to Room 12 as a family suite. Downstairs Room 14 (King or Twins): A private interior entrance and an exterior entrance are features of this quiet room. Rent the family suite to connect Room 12 and 14. Each room sleeps maximum two people; suite sleeps 4 people maximum.
The Kings w/Balcony - # 1, 2
from 225 to 400 per night
RELAX ON PRIVATE BALCONY. Room 1: One of the larger rooms with a King size bed and a balcony over looking Union Chapel and Narragansett Avenue. It has a private balcony over the front porch with a unobstructed view of Union Chapel and Circuit Avenue. Room 2: A smaller king bed with a half-octagonal balcony with more private views of Union Chapel. There is also private bathroom across the hall. Sleeps up to 2 people. Minimum stays depending on season and special events.
The King Corner w/ Kitchenette #11
from 275 to 450 per night
A guest favorite is our Corner "West Room" named after Vineyard writer Dorothy West. This room has a private exterior entrance directly onto the garden lawn as well as it's own kitchenette (the only room in the B&B with a kitchenette). The West room has a king size bed, a small table and eating area and faces the front of the house overlooking the lawn. Minimum stays depending on season and special events.
The Queen Rooms - #5, 6, 8
from 175 to 350 per night
QUEEN BEDROOMS: Our queen bedrooms upstairs are decorated in modern classic vineyard style. South facing rooms are bathed in light during the day (Rooms 5, 6,) Our North facing Queen has views of Union Chapel (Room 8). All have queen size beds, classic dressers, cable television, in room shower bathrooms and A/C. Sleeps up to 2 people. Minimum stays depending on season and special events.
The Queen Balcony - #7
from 195 to 395 per night
Our Queen Balcony rooms are both upstairs and overlook the lawn and the historic Union Chapel. These rooms allow you a small private balcony to sip a cup of tea or enjoy the breeze. Both rooms have queen size beds. Room #2 has a private bathroom and shower across the hall. Room #7 has an ensuite bathroom.
The Junior Queens - #9, 10
from 150 to 315 per night
A queen size bed in one of our smaller rooms downstairs. Both of these rooms have exterior entrances and include cable television, in-room shower, bathroom, AC. Services available include laundry service. Afternoon porch tea serve. All rooms have access to bath robes, beach towels, picnic baskets, and beach wagons based on availability. All rooms sleeps maximum 2 people. Minimum stays depending on season and special events.
The Family Suite #12, 14
from 400 to 750 per night
Our only family suite is designed with your comfort and privacy in mind. The suite allows 4 people, with one king size bed with ensuite bathroom (room 12) overlooking the front lawn. It connects to Room 14 which has a King or Twin option with ensuite bath and exterior entrance/exit. A perfect choice for families and groups that want larger space and privacy. Sleeps up to 4 people.
The Tower Queen - #3
from 195 to 395 per night
A special room that has the original 3-story (now 2-story) octagon tower that is an original and unique characteristic of Martha's Vineyard. The tower provides a small sitting area and a view onto the house garden below.
Full Inn Weekend Takeover - All 13 Bedrooms
from 6000 weekend
Plan a reunion, a wedding or a special anniversary on the island. We have very special offer with extremely limited weekends in May and October to take over the entire Inn for the weekend. Weekend minimum 2 nights, possibility to go to 3 nights. Daily breakfast and room cleaning are included. Available only on select weekends in May & October. Call us now to book your special event for Autumn 2019 or the 2020 season. Special events possible with prior permission and events terms.

Have you been looking for a perfect place for your family or school reunion. Planning a small gathering for an anniversary, wedding or special celebration. We have limited availability for small and intimate events when you rent out the entire 13 room Inn. Right across from Union Chapel, a block away from main street and just a few minutes away from Inkwell beach its the perfect location.
The Inkwell Project - Writers Series
The island has a long tradition of artists and writers coming to be inspired and inspire others with their work. We are pleased to partner with Noepe Center for Literary Arts, Featherstone Arts Institute and our wonderful Inkwell Project writers for a summer program. Join us for Writers Sundays in the Garden. Free for guests, register in advance to ensure space.
Relaxation, Wellness & Island Activities
With so much to do what makes it a perfect vacation for you? There is morning yoga, polar bears ocean fitness and a swimming club just a few blocks away at the Inkwell Beach. Boats and bikes are available for rental right at the harbor. Pack a lunch and explore more than 100 miles of bike paths and forest trails. Go out with an island captain for an unforgettable day of deep sea fishing.
Inn Take Over Weekends
A special offer with very limited availability perfect for weddings, reunions and anniversaries. We are offering 2-3 day full inn rentals for all 13 bedrooms, which include breakfast and daily room cleaning. Make a special memory with your loved ones or special group. Share the big news
We just confirmed renowned and celebrated author Bret Anthony Johnston to join us in the garden at the B&B in July. Bret Anthony Johnston is an American author. He wrote the novel Remember Me Like This and the story collection, Corpus Christi: Stories. He is also the editor of the non-fiction work, Naming the World and Other Exercises for the Creative Writer. He won the 2017 Sunday Times Short Story Award.
Workshops & Events
We have workshops and events planned throughout the summer for our guests. Some are surprises, and others are world renowned writers who share their stories in an intimate setting, or visual artists, musicians or sculptures who are showing their work and sharing their talents. It will always be low-key vineyard style inspired by the rich traditions and diverse community around us.

Handworks - Natural Island Arts Workshop
We invite you to join our one of our favorite artists in a workshop to do beautiful art with natural materials. No art training required, just an open mind and creative spirit. Free for all guests. Registration required to ensure materials for each participant. Teacher TBA.

Inkwell Writers Series: Ginger McKnight
Our first writer to join us in the garden for the summer season. We are so happy to have Ginger join us in the garden to discuss her book which is a perfect beach read, "In the Heart of Texas". Ginger, a vineyard summer resident will share her inspiration behind her book and vibrant characters. Wine tasting to follow reading and discussion.

4th of July Parade - Edgartown
Come view the Edgartown 4th of July parade and spectacular Edgartown Harbor fireworks . Enjoy delicious treats, sales at local shops, and so much more during this festive time in town. Parade begins at 5pm on July 4th and the Fireworks start at dusk on the harbor. See you there!

Inkwell Writer Series: Naomi Jackson
We are honored to have Naomi Jackson, author of The Star Side of Bird Hill join us in the garden. Her book was nominated for an NAACP Image Award, long-listed for the National Book Critics Circle’s John Leonard Prize, the Center for Fiction’s First Novel Prize, and various literary awards. Jackson studied fiction at the Iowa Writers’ Workshop. She traveled to South Africa on a Fulbright scholarship, where she received an M.A. in Creative Writing from the University of Cape Town. A graduate of Williams College, her work has appeared in literary journals and magazines in the United States and abroad. She is the recipient of numerous residencies and fellowships. Jackson was born and raised in Brooklyn by West Indian parents.

Inkwell Writers Series: Bret Anthony Johnston
Bret Anthony Johnston is the author of the internationally best-selling novel Remember Me Like This, which was a New York Times Notable Book of the Year, a Barnes and Noble Discover Great New Writers selection. The book has been translated around the world and is being made into a major motion picture. Bret is also the author of the award-winning Corpus Christi: Stories, which was named a Best Book of the Year by The Independent.
