CBCF to Host Swearing-In Ceremony for Largest-ever
Congressional Black Caucus
Freshmen Class of 116th Congress to include Former CBCF Intern, Lauren Underwood
WASHINGTON — On Thursday, January 3, 2019, the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, Inc. (CBCF) will host a ceremonial swearing-in for current and newly-elected Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) members of the 116th Congress. Fifty-five members will take the oath of office – the largest in the CBC’s history.
The event honors the legacy of the CBC and marks the installation of its new and re-elected members. The ceremonial swearing-in is open to families and guests of the CBC members and in the past, has been attended by congressional leadership; and leading nonprofit, civic and business leaders, among many others.
