Free event to celebrate the first day of the weeklong holiday includes free food and live entertainment.
New Haven – The Black and Hispanic Caucus of the New Haven Board of Alders invites the public to attend and participate in the Annual Kwanzaa Celebration. This event will take place on Wednesday December 26 at 5:30 p.m., City Hall-Atrium, 165 Church Street, 2nd floor, New Haven, Connecticut.
Come celebrate African American Heritage and the spirit of the holiday. Learn about the Kwanzaa Holiday and the Seven Principles of Kwanzaa. There will be free food, a libation by Elaine Peters of the Community Kwanzaa Association, a presentation on unity and entertainment by both Mudcloth Mentorship Society of Cultural Arts, the Hamden Academy of Dance and maybe even a few surprises.
