Friday, October 12th: 8:30am-12:30pm "CLEARING THE WAY FOR BLACK CHILDREN TO FLOURISH" A workshop for local leaders of community-based organizations
*Saturday, October 13th: 9:00am-5:00pm (Day 1) "BREATHE, BABY, BREATHE" A retreat for Black People Responsible for Black Children
*Sunday, October 14th: 9:00am-5:00pm (Day2) "BREATHE, BABY, BREATHE" A retreat for Black People Responsible for Black Children
*Please note: "Breathe, Baby, Breathe" is one event over two days. When purchasing tickets, Saturday's ticket will cover participants for both days of the Breathe, Baby Breathe Retreat.
What’s in it for you: An introduction to the Emotional Emancipation (EE) Circles, a healing experience that has been described as “life-changing,” and is resonating with Black people around the world; emotional wellness skills to relieve your stress.
Who: Our guide for this powerful weekend healing experience will be the dynamic Dr. Cheryl Tawede Grills. She is the Lead Trainer for Community Healing Network's Global Emotional Emancipation Circles Training Team. A clinical psychologist, with a current emphasis in Community Psychology, she is Professor of Psychology at Loyola Marymount University and Associate Dean in the College of Liberal Arts. Dr. Grills is also a Past President of the Association of Black Psychologists, CHN's primary ally..
