Craig “Fig” Figueiredo

Comedian
The comedian known as Fig (whose real name is Craig Figueiredo) was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York where he attended school and was often referred to as the class clown as a teen. As an adult and discovering his comedic talent, Fig joined a church named ZOE Ministries where he became a part of an improv group named the ZOE PLAYERS. With the popularity of the improv group, and after hearing time after time “you missed your calling” the comedian Fig decided to give his natural comedic ability a chance to make people laugh a go. This lead him to try his hand at a possible professional career in comedy as he found his way to the UPTOWN Comedy Club which was an underground comedy club known for it’s urban comedy highlighting many comedians, and was located on 125th Street in the heart of Harlem, NY. The Club and spending many days on stage there is where Fig honed his comedic skills. While doing many performances amongst comedians such as Doug E Doug, Flex, Tracy Morgan, and the late Monteria Ivey (which was one of Figs closest friends and a mentor) he was able to get his rhythm as a comedian and find his particular audience and hone in on his skills. Since then, Fig’s talent has afforded him the opportunity to travel and bring joy and laughter to many people across the country and abroad, as he has appeared on several very popular comedy shows for broadcast television, being on such shows as The Uptown Comedy Club, The Apollo Comedy Hour, Russell Simmon’s Def Comedy Jam, and BET’s Comic View just to name a few. In addition, over the years Fig has also become an accomplished actor being cast in television commercials and episodes for many programs, while also using his comedic talents for voiceovers. Such commercials for Burger King, Ford, Nike, Mastercard, and Walmart, Wendy Williams and Saturday Night Live are just a few of the shows/commercials that featured his many talents. When Fig recently relocated to Los Angeles, he was able to appear on shows like Monk, Lincoln Heights and had a featured role in the movie License to Wed which starred Robin Williams. Fig even landed the lead role in a Showtime movie titled Pants In The Family. It is plain to see that Fig’s gift has made room for him to explore many opportunities. This young talent is well on his way to making his mark in this industry and it’s just a matter of time before he is a household name.
