#GiveBlackCT

In observance of Black Philanthropy Month (BPM) in August, The Prosperity Foundation (TPF) will officially launch its first-of-its-kind annual #GIVEBLACKCT monetary campaign Wednesday, August 29. Commencing at 12:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. on the 29th, TPF will host its official online, and social media “Give Back by Investing in Our Community Day.”
The giving campaign, in-lock step with the annual August designation of BPM, is a “wake-up” call for the philanthropically minded of the African Diaspora and beyond. It is also a “call to action” to demonstrate fidelity and love towards uplifting the Black Community with a direct financial investment towards social, emotional, educational, and economic progress.
In just three years, TPF has awarded over $100,000.00 to Black-owned and operated non-profit organizations in the State of Connecticut. The truth of the matter is, more resources are needed in our communities and this philanthropic vehicle has been able to reach grassroots organizations that never would have been noticed by national foundations. While we are proud of this accomplishment, we recognize that now, more than ever before, the Black community must pool its resources together to create a legacy for generations to come.
