Yale School of Medicine SNMA/LMSA Chapter National Die in in memory of Sacramento native Stephon Clark

When: 3pm EST
Where: Outside 333 Cedar Street (Sterling Hall of Medicine)
Attire: Please wear BLACK or WHITE COATS

Health professional students across the country will participated in a national “die-in” in memory of Sacramento-native Stephon Clark, whose name has been added to a growing list of victims that have died at the hands of police violence secondary only to a history of structural and institutional racism present in our nation. We as future healthcare providers feel that this is a national public health crisis, and we will not remain silent.

Our purpose is as follows:
- We stand in solidarity with victims of police violence
- We demand justice and police accountability
- We urge our own healthcare institutions to increase trauma-informed care to afflicted communities
