Greetings, Friends of the Afro-American Cultural Center!

Special Info Sharing from Rise Nelson, Director Afro American Cultural Center

I hope you have been well and that we’ll see you for the House’s 50th anniversary celebrations throughout 2019-2020, if not before! (Save the dates will be coming out this winter.)

I wanted to follow up earlier communications from the Black Student Alliance at Yale (BSAY) to send one last reminder of the organization’s upcoming 50th anniversary celebration next Friday, October 6th to Sunday, October 8:

The Black Student Alliance at Yale invites you to celebrate its 50th anniversary! The theme is “Intersecting Voices: Looking Forward to Our Future while Honoring Our Past,” and event highlights include:

Please don’t forget to share this Facebook event with your friends, classmates, and colleagues. Additionally, here is the BSAY50th website link so you can see the schedule and award recipients, view hotel options (if needed), and purchase tickets (discount ends tomorrow). I have also pasted the full schedule below, for ease.

Also, we are awaiting information on the Pauli Murray College dedication and will be glad to provide any info we can during BSAY50 registration.

The BSAY Board and I hope to see you back at the House next weekend to celebrate this momentous occasion!

In peace and solidarity,
Risë Nelson
