Today, Higher Heights’ Co-Founder Glynda C. Carr joined a dynamic panel discussion at the Center for American Progress Action Fund in Washington, D.C. for the release of Judith Warner’s Opening the Gates: Clearing the Way for More Women to Hold Political Office report.

The conversation, entitled “Beyond the Ambition Gap: Challenging Systems That Keep Women Off Ballots and Out of Office,” focused on what structural challenges exist for women candidates and recommendations to create pathways for them to run and win.
Glynda shared Higher Heights’ efforts to invest in a strategy to create the environment for more Black women to successfully run for office and break open the gates preventing them from winning.   Take a moment and view the conversation here.
