Statement from the Texas Democratic Delegation regarding recent threats against Representative Al Green, Member of Congress for Texas 9th District:
“The entire Texas Democratic Delegation condemns the attacks on our colleague, Congressman Al Green. Many of these threats are racist in tone and are too disturbing to repeat. We stand with our friend and against violent threats against him and his family that are not just despicable – they are criminal. We hope law enforcement is able to uncover the perpetrators.”
“La entera Delegación Democrática de Texas condena los ataques a nuestro colega, el Congresista Al Green. Muchas de estas amenazas tienen un tono racista y son demasiado perturbadoras para repetirlas. Respaldamos a nuestro amigo y nos ponemos a contra de las amenazas violentas contra él y su familia que no son sólo despreciables - son criminales. Esperamos que las agencias de leyes podrán descubrir a los perpetradores.”
