Join the Yale Film Study Center and CPTV for a special advance screening of THE BAD KIDS, a new documentary by Keith Fulton & Lou Pepe, followed by a community discussion.
Located in an impoverished Mojave Desert community, Black Rock Continuation High School is an alternative, a lifeline, and a last chance for at-risk students with little hope of graduating from a traditional high school. This coming of age story shows extraordinary educators and talented students combatting the crippling effects of poverty in the lives of these so-called "bad kids." The film won the U.S. Documentary Special Jury Award at the Sundance Film Festival.
