Nancy Boone has been with the Connecticut Alliance for Basic Human Needs since 2009. Prior to becoming Director in 2015, Nancy was the coordinator for CABHN and the director for Legal Assistance Resource Center of Connecticut’s community education and outreach program. Nancy has worked as a Legal Aid attorney, court advocate for domestic violence victims, and Adjunct Professor of Sociology. She holds a J.D. from Western New England College School of Law and a B.S.W. from the University of Saint Joseph. Nancy lives in Hartford with her family. Thanks, Nancy
Paola Serrecchia joined CABHN as the Community Outreach Advocate in 2015. Prior to joining CABHN, Paola worked in the fields of domestic violence, sexual abuse, homelessness, and poverty advocacy for 20 years. She is the co-founder of No More Crumbs, a New Haven based grassroots coalition of community members and providers that advocate for policy changes for low income families. She is also the Chair of the Connecticut Domestic Violence Collaborative. She facilitates Wellness groups for residents in New Haven Homeless Shelters. Paola facilitates People Empowering People and other classes that help at-risk people develop leadership and advocacy skills. She holds a B.A. in Psychology from Southern Connecticut State University. Paola lives with her husband in Madison.
