Collecting Mental Health Resources

***Collecting mental health resources
"Greetings. My name is Alexander Hardy. I'm a writer, educator, lupus survivor, mental health advocate, and co-host of The Extraordinary Negroes podcast. In response to frequent requests for help finding help, I'm compiling a database of mental health workers, programs, resources, and groups, as well as teachers of practitioners or yoga, meditation, reiki, massage therapy, etc. Due to an understandable demand for Black and brown mental health professionals, as well as those familiar with, sensitive to, and respectful of cultures, lives, and experiences beyond the "mainstream" perspective. The goal is to curate a resource for fellowship, information, inspiration, and support that normalizes and broadens discussions around mental illness in Black and brown communities while continuing to dismantle the barriers between those battling mental illness — particularly those from marginalized and low-income communities — and the support or care they need for survival. I know firsthand how debilitating and difficult it can be to struggle in silence, not knowing who to turn to or what to do. I want to do my part so fewer people experience that helplessness. That's where you come in.
If you would like to be included in such a database, please submit professional and contact information for mental health workers, classes, activities, programs, services, etc. Provide as much information as you can or would like to provide. Thank you thank you thank you.
