Open Letter re Emotional Emancipation Circle Regional Trainng

2017 Emotional Emancipation Circle Regional Training

Dear Friends:

Thank you for your interest in becoming an Emotional Emancipation CirclesSM (EEC) leader. As you can imagine, the demand for EEC trainings has been increasing dramatically in recent days.

You are among a growing list of people waiting to be trained in the EEC process. We are working on a 2017 schedule for regional EEC trainings which we will announce as soon as possible.

*If you have already attended a training or received this message, please share with someone you know who is also interested in becoming an EEC Facilitator.

In the meantime, we are pleased to be able to share the attached  “Family-Care,Community-Care,and Self-Care Toolkit: Healing in the Face of Cultural Trauma,” for local leaders to use to host, not Emotional Emancipation Circles, but community meetings to help promote healing. This is an evolving document, and we would welcome your feedback on it. Please let us know how you are using it and how we can make it more useful.

If you would like to sponsor a local EEC training which would mean that you would take the lead in recruiting participants and garnering in-kind donations and raising funds through local organizations to support the basic costs of the EEC training, please contact us at. EECircles@communityhealingnet.org, We would be happy to work with you to bring the EECs to your local community.

CHN’s aim is to make this a movement “for us by us--”a movement that is funded largely through donations from grassroots supporters who benefit from the work we do. We believe that if everyone who has expressed support for EECs makes a generous donation, we will be able to fund this movement for ourselves.

If you would like to contribute to the EEC training fund --please click https://donatenow.networkforgood.org/CommunityHealingNetwork to make a tax-deductible contribution, and please consider making a monthly recurring gift. No matter the amount, your contribution will be invaluable. Please also help us spread the word by asking your family and friends to contribute as well.

CHN is the only organization focused solely on addressing the root causes of the devaluing of Black lives by helping Black people heal from and overturn the lies of White superiority and Black inferiority. We are an all-volunteer organization and we rely on donations to do this vital work.

Thank you, and we look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Courtney C.
