Moral Mondays

TOM,
On Monday, September 12, a call to justice will roll across this country.
At 11am in 25 state capitols, faith leaders from diverse traditions, people impacted by poverty, racism, and injustice, advocates, and activists will come together to rally and deliver the Higher Ground Moral Declaration to our elected leaders and candidates.
We are calling on governors, senators, state legislators and candidates for office to move away from extremist politics and policies that benefit the few and move toward policies and laws that are just and fair and guarantee a better life for the majority of the people.
Here's how you can join us in this historic national Moral Day of Action:
2. Deliver a digital version of the Moral Declaration to your state legislators and candidates through social media or email.
Click here for our social media guide, which includes the social media profiles and emails of state leaders and candidates, sample messages and graphics.
At each rally on Sept. 12, the Moral Declaration will be read, proclaimed, and delivered at the steps of each participating state capitol. We will sing the same opening and closing songs, recite the same litany, and the same chants as we march around the State Houses, acting as one to send the same message: It is time for a moral revolution of values that challenges the narrow construct of those who purport to represent the so-called "religious right."
Forward Together!
Rev. Dr. William J. Barber II
P.S. If you haven't signed the Higher Ground Moral Declaration yet, please add your name and share with at least 3 more people before the week is over.
