New Haven Public Schools to Host 'Stronger Together' Symposium on Social Justice, Cultural Competency & Restorative Practices 
NEW HAVEN, CT (August 31, 2016) – – New Haven Public Schools has teamed up with seven community organizations and leaders to host a 'Stronger Together' Symposium to give students an outlet to discuss their social justice concerns, parents an opportunity to learn about back to school security policies and procedures, and teachers the space to delve into cultural competency and invest in their own health and well-being. 

As an integral part of the #StartStrong campaign, the symposium carries a goal of bringing the community together to share perspective and enter the school year with a commitment to cultural inclusion, and staff and student well-being.
