Solar and Lunar Eclipses occur only when the Earth, Sun and Moon align at the Moon’s nodal axis, usually four times a year, during New Moon and Full Moon, respectively. The South (past) and North (future) Nodes symbolize our greater evolutionary path. Eclipses catalyze our destiny’s deeper calling. Use eclipse degrees in your birth chart to identify potential release points.

Astro Overview — 2016
Health questions about the permeability of borders and boundaries, both biological and geographical, and about healthy boundaries within families and communities are sparked around 9/1, as the total solar eclipse at 9° Virgo (visible throughout Africa) opposes Neptune and squares Mars/Saturn. Communication, education, and real dialogue are essential for a solution.
Eclipses in March and September create awareness around the need for Spirit to be grounded in the everyday. These two months will bring flashes of insight into how to connect with your pure self—the one not easily swayed by fanatics and fear-mongering.
Venus is our recognition of love, art and beauty. Venus is harmony in its expressed form, as well as compassion, bliss and acceptance.
Mercury is “The Thinker,” and involves our communication skills: what we say, our words, our voice, and our thoughts,
The Moon represents our capacity to feel or empathize with those around us and within our own soul as well. It awakens our intuitive and emotional body.
Jupiter is our quest for truth, living the belief systems that we hold and walking the path of what those beliefs say about us. It involves an ever expanding desire to educate the Self through knowledge toward higher law, the adventure and opportunity of being on that road—sometimes literally entailing travel and foreign or international culture, language and/or customs.
Libra: Balance wholeness, weave connection. Cardinal Air Libra asks us to balance our relationships so they bring us joy.
Virgo by day: Assess, analyze, organize, under the intelligent and perceptive Virgo Moon. It’s time to heal, weed, edit, and discern. The vibe is thoughtful, sensitive, health-oriented, compassionate and particular; we need to keep our eyes not on what we want to throw away, but what we want to keep and nurture.
Mercury turns retrograde on Tuesday. . . A Virgo New Moon lunar eclipse on Thursday asks us to let go of ideas and practices . . . We can plant seeds now, but won’t really launch this fall’s enterprises until Mercury turns direct on the equinox, September 22. . . .
. . . As the weekend began we can saw a beautiful conjunction between Venus, Mercury, and Jupiter in the early evening western sky. This lineup can expand (Jupiter) our thoughts (Mercury) with creativity and care (Venus). . . .
This conjunction turns up the volume on our emotions, . . .
Tuesday, August 30: This day can spin in circles for better or worse, Mercury turns retrograde and steps on the brakes as the as the Leo Moon trines both Mars and Uranus, and steps on the gas. Have patience, take advantages of opportunity but don’t push where there is resistance. . . .
Thursday, September 1: . . . energy low, feeling insecure or with a tendency to generalize anything negative. Or we can make this a day to hit a reset button and recommit to our health and the health of the world around us . . .
