Celestial Weather Bulletin for August 14th, 2016
Note to Readers:Find out how the Celestial Weather affects your chart. Book a reading with Rich. The Celestial Weather affects us depending on the relation between our own horoscope and the positions of the planets in our sky. If your chart is connected, the weather will have a strong impact on your life and the energy will enter your life and, through you, the lives of those around you. If your chart is not connected, the weather will happen out in your world and you’ll observe the energies and be less affected. Sometimes we’re actors and other times we’re audience. Overview:
|
You don’t need an astrologer to know that the past several months have been extremely unsettled and challenging for all of us.
Saturn and Neptune have put our ideals and expectations up against harsh realities. They have also shocked our concepts of safe civilized life by exposing danger in the most ordinary places. Saturn and Neptune formed an exact right angle last November and then last June. They make their final square on September 10th.
We are also emerging from a historical and powerful link of violence between Mars and Uranus that enflamed much of June and into July. This has passed and will never occur again in our lifetimes, but our world has been shaken up, put off balance, and is in need of major adjustments.
After the current lull in the action in early August, the Lunar Eclipse this Thursday marks the beginning of the grand finale of this turbulent period. This is followed on September 1st by a Solar Eclipse in Virgo while Mercury is standing still to begin his retrograde period. As this happens, the Saturn-Neptune reality clash is building up to its third and final focus. Following that is another Lunar Eclipse on September 15th and Mercury’s return to normal motion on the 20th.
September will be a month of sea change when the world turns a corner in time. The combination of Mercury Retrograde and eclipses points to an intense focus on information from the past, its review, and changes in attitude and understanding that flow therefrom. Virgo issues of job fitness and health matters are likely.
Mercury is retrograde typically three times a year for about 21 days each time, totaling 63 days, and if his “shadow periods” on either side of the retrograde are included, the all Mercury Retro affected days total nearly 100 days or almost 33% of the year. So rather than going all “chicken little” over Mercury Retro periods, we should understand that they are a normal part of human consciousness. They are times when we should review and assess the past so we can learn from it.
There’s no denying that during this period we are all slightly distracted from the present and prone to make errors in communication. This side effect can be lessened by taking time to chill down and think back over your life. Mercury is already in his shadow period that began on the 10th.
After September the pace of change will slow, and we can begin to find our way in a new world. So buckle up and hang on, but, above all, be flexible and flow with this last burst of major change that begins this week.
Venus is opposite Neptune on Sunday and our expectations of others may be unrealistic. Try not to fall into princess-and-pea mode looking for perfection. At the same time, sudden soul sparks may be leaping from stranger to stranger - old souls nodding in recognition. Eschew the juicy gossip.
The few lazy hazy days of summer will fade this week under the Lunar Eclipse on Thursday in Aquarius. This is a time when we seek to define ourselves as individuals who choose their associations as opposed to tribe members united by biology. Let the Leo Sun spotlight your special nature, and let the Aquarius eclipsed Moon bring you into associations with like-minded people. The Leo Sun is getting power from Uranus in Aries, fire-power, enabling sudden personality changes and evolutions.
The Sun begins to power up from Uranus on Tuesday under the Aquarius Moon, after 4:52am/7:52am when she ends her VOID. All forms of enlightenment, great and small, come more easily with this strong Promethean power of Uranus and Aquarius flowing through the Leo Sun.
Venus has moved on from her encounter with Neptune to get the inside info via Pluto on Wednesday. A few of Sunday’s suspicions are found to have substance, but only a few. Virgo Venus and Capricorn Pluto want to do business, make contracts, make something happen. Alliances are made.
Then comes the Lunar Eclipse early on Thursday morning. There’s extra juice all around; situations can quickly become really good or really bad. Try not to participate in the “smartest one in the room” contest. A Pisces Moon takes over after her VOID ends at 9:34am/12:34pm. This dreamy flowing water energy will be heated, coming after the bright fire and drama of the Eclipse.
The Moon aligns exactly with Neptune in Pisces early Friday morning. Deep dreams may linger and color the daytime hours. A sudden understanding may flow from the imagery, something hidden in plain sight is now obvious.
On Saturday, we may not be fully awake until the afternoon when the Moon lights up in Aries after aVOID morning (5:21am/8:21am-12:18pm/3:18pm.
Sunday August 14, 2016 Capricorn Moon
Our expectations are not met, far from it with Venus square to Neptune. Perfection seems both close and far.
Monday August 15, 2016 Capricorn Moon
Lightning flashes late in the day show new solutions to public dilemmas.
Tuesday August 16, 2016 Capricorn->Aquarius Moon
Time for leaders to step forward boldly and take charge with the Sun and Uranus working to expand light and vision.
Wednesday August 17, 2016 Aquarius Moon
Yesterday's Sun-Uranus energy powers the Aquarius Moon today and the Lunar Eclipse tomorrow. Group membership is driven by visions of the future.
Thursday August 18, 2016 Aquarius->Pisces Moon
The Lunar Eclipse in Aquarius today asks us to break with the past, and stand up for individual rights. Revolution is in the air.
Friday August 19, 2016 Pisces Moon
The Pisces Moon aligns with Neptune which is being squared by Saturn. Pay attention to hunches. Keep expectations low because Saturn/Neptune shows how far we are from our ideals.
Saturday August 20, 2016 Pisces->Aries Moon
After a long VOID (5:21am/8:21am to 12:18pm/3:18pm), the Aries Moon sparks action after days of introspection gave us pause. A seemingly small detail can change everything.
Ongoing
Jupiter is direct in Virgo.
Saturn is direct in Sagittarius. Uranus is retrograde in Aries. Neptune is retrograde in Pisces Pluto is retrograde in Capricorn.
VOID Moon Tables
(As the Moon moves through the signs of the Zodiac, there comes a time when it has made the last connection it can make while in the present sign. From that time until the Moon enters the next Zodiac sign it is said to be VOID. It means that things are "in neutral". It is a time to maintain routines but NOT a time to begin new projects. Ideas and opportunities which come up duringVOID moon periods rarely amount to much. It's not a good time to schedule an important first meeting or to make decisions. This VOID time can last from a couple minutes to almost 48 hours depending on the arrangement of the planets in the signs.)
