New Haven Hip-Hop Conference 2016
3 Day Event for the entire family.
July 15-17, 2016
Neighborhood Music School
100 Audubon Street, New Haven, CT
Explore the elements and 'Evolution of Hip-Hop' as a voice of social justice through a concert, dance party, interactive workshops including 'Africa Is Me!', panel discussions, keynote speaker, and an independent film festival. All complete with a variety of vendors for your shopping pleasure.
Given the current events this is the perfect place to be. We will have a panel discussion on social justice with some of New Haven's original Black Panthers and involved community members, a panel on community and school violence, violence against women, and infusing Social Justice in the school system through the arts.
Due to request, for mental health and support there will also be a room set aside for Black families to talk about these killings privately and safely. (Working out the logistics.)
A couple of vendor slots are still open as well.
Looking forward to seeing you all there!
