On Friday, May 13, 2016, the State of Connecticut African-American Affairs Commission (AAAC) will host its 17th Annual Classic Awards.


  On Friday, May 13, 2016, the State of Connecticut African-American Affairs Commission (AAAC) will host its 17th Annual Classic Awards. The Commission will recognize individuals from around the state who have made significant contributions. The event will be held in the Atrium of the Legislative Office Building in Hartford.  Scholarships will be presented to AAAC Youth of the Year for their academic achievements.  This year we have the honor of recognizing Jahana Hayes – National Teacher of the Year.  Please RSVP if you haven’t already.
