FBI/Yale Future Law Enforcement Youth Academy is Accepting Applications until May 27, 2016














CT High school students ages 15-18: The newly created FBI/Yale Future Law Enforcement Youth Academy is accepting applications until May 27, 2016! This unique program is designed to promote higher education and give selected youth a peek behind the scenes of the work that FBI conducts with state, local and federal law enforcement partners. Youth from around the state of CT will have an experience of a lifetime as they are exposed and taught various law enforcement techniques, federal and state judicial systems, through classroom and practical exercises. This academy will take place on Yale’s campus during the week of July 24th – 29th and will be comprised of an ethnic and diverse cultural group of youth between the ages of 15 – 18yrs old. All candidates must be enrolled in a Connecticut High School and have a minimum GPA 2.7 to be eligible. All students must submit a 200 word essay with the application explaining why they want to participate in the academy. To apply go to:www.fbi.gov/newhaven and follow the instructions. FBI New Haven and the Yale University Police Department are teaming up to offer the Future Law Enforcement Youth Academy (FLEYA) program, a weeklong law enforcement and legal training camp for youth throughout Connecticut. The application deadline is May 27, 2016. Details
