Symposium On the Politics of Gender & Sexuality in Africa February 26-27, 2016

Program | African Studies:

Description: Questions concerning gender and sexuality have been among the most important and critical in the African context. This symposium will bring together researchers working on the politics and political science of gender and sexuality in Africa.
While the scholars and researchers in this symposium will focus on sub-Saharan Africa, they will also address broader themes that affect the African continent and beyond, suggesting the importance of theorizing from the Global South.
