Deeper Change Forum- Art Interrupting Injustice:

From Niyonu Spann:

CEIO has pulled together a fantastic line up of New Haven area artists to rattle the roots of our 2015-16 season. From the spoken word to the visual arts, this showcase will feed your soul, challenge your limits and provide you with tools to access, create and use art for social justice
.
Featured Artists: Aaron Jafferis...known by most of you as an amazing hip-hop poet, playwriter and actor. Lara Herscovitch, activating justice through her songwriting and singing. Jason Dorsey, A.K.A. J-Sun shakes it up with poetry and youth activism and New Haven's Hanifa Washington brings a multitude of artistic gift as well as working with the Forum Theatre process to interrupt the injustice while building up community.

Join us for this special event. Bring yourselves fully because YOU will be part of the interruption!

Tom Ficklin invited into the studio Hanifa Washington and Jason Dorsey to talk about Deeper Change, an art and social justice forum to take place on February 9 at 1253 Whitney Avenue in Hamden.
