Moving Into Black Future Month

A good friend Mark Robinson posted on his facebook page recently the following comment,

"The cold truth is that no one cares if black actors boycott the Oscars. Hollywood sure as hell doesn't care. White America doesn't care. And black folks have never been a big part of the Oscar TV broadcast audience, so for us to boycott watching would not be that big a deal to the networks either.
But if black America decided to stage a limited boycott of the box office, that would get noticed. If,for example, black America decided not to see/rent ANY movies (except black movies) for the entire month of February, that would indeed get Hollywood's attention. Stay out of the theater for Black History Month. ‪#‎NoMovieFebruary‬
And Chris Rock does have a contractual and professional obligation to host the Oscars. But there is no way to contractually obligate him to be funny. He could stand there and say "I don't feel like being funny tonight. Let's just do the damn show and get it over with."

As we move into Black Future Month I was thinking what actions can I take to really live in and embrace by my words and deeds the visible reality of our Black Future?
