Grant Will Provide Free Youth Training at Gateway

(New Haven - December 30, 2015) Registration for the Spring semester is just around the corner and now Gateway Community College gives students even more incentive to sign up for classes. 

Through the GCC GREAT Center, eligible youth (ages 16-24) can sign up for free training provided by the Today’s Youth, Tomorrow’s Careers (TYTC) Grant. 

Training is available in the following areas: Medical Office Assistant, Bookkeeper, Business Professional & Office Assistant, and Transportation, Distribution & Logistic (TDL) Technician. Students must have a high school diploma and demonstrate financial need in order to qualify. 

This is a wonderful opportunity for those who are out of school, out of work and looking for a new career path!

To be considered for the program, participants MUST attend orientation on Jan 5, from 9:30am – 12:00pm (Please RSVP by Jan 4), or on Jan 6, from 5pm- 7:30pm (Please RSVP by Jan 5).
