White House to Announce $118 million Initiative To Improve the Lives of Women of Color: "On Friday, The White House Council on Women and Girls hosted a forum to discuss ways to improve the lives of women and girls of color in America. The forum included a commitment of $118 million in assistance from public and private organizations, The Washington Post reports.
During the forum, participants discussed the "Advancing Equity for Women and Girls of Color" report which identifies several areas of focus, including education, criminal justice, health and economic conditions. "
